Monstrous

Meet the Monstrous family. They're not very good at being monsters... well, perhaps one of them is.

Every morning, the monsters of the Monstrous family set off to do what monsters do best: stomp on roofs, crack chimneys, and scare everyone they meet. But the cats get there first. And the grannies fight back. And the children just won’t be frightened. It turns out being monstrous is a lot harder than it looks. Meanwhile, little Ellen is at home. She was told she was too small to monster. But when her family comes back exhausted and empty-handed, it becomes very clear that Ellen has been the most monstrous of all. Monstrous is a hilarious, warm, and wickedly funny picture book about siblings, persistence, and who really runs the house.

“A delightfully mischievous adventure.” – Emily House (Award-winning Author and Illustrator, Head of SCBWI South Africa)
