Tallulah to the Rescue

Tallulah Brightmane has one mission: convince her parents to let her have a pet.

Then the rescue beacon goes off. Somewhere in the Magic Wilds a small creature is hurt, and Tallulah talks her way onto the expedition. She has a backpack, a research journal and a lot of facts.

The Plan: get a pet

Peek inside

A comic you read fast and a journal you slow down for

Tallulah moves like a comic: big panels, loud sound effects and a family that talks over each other. Then every creature gets a field-journal page you will want to pore over, with photos, tape, sticky notes and facts to repeat at dinner.

Panels with personality

Speech bubbles, snaps, splashes and one very patient Dad with a camera.

Journal pages to explore

Stat cards, taped-in feathers, teeth and photos. Every page rewards a second look.

A team that works

Felicity organises, Jacob photographs and Tallulah asks, "Did you know...?"

Good pet?

After every creature, Tallulah circles the same question in red pen. Her verdict is almost always yes. Her parents see it differently.

Meet the team

The Brightmane family, on the job

Three very different people, one yellow car and a beacon that is not as reliable as it should be.

Tallulah

Wants to be a creature investigator

Loves facts, climbing and drawing every creature she meets. Her favourite so far is the crococat.

Felicity

Mom, expedition leader

Focused, organised and in charge of the beacon. She will always stop for an injured creature, and rarely for a pet.

Jacob

Dad, wildlife photographer

Relaxed, funny and always one click away from a perfect photo. He hates the dark and he still forgot his earplugs.
