The Basic Legal Guide for Kids
This book will be available again after the local COVID-19 lockdown.
The Basic Legal Guide for Kids is an expanded picture book offering simplified and visualised explanations of basic human rights for children.
Fully illustrated by local designer Dominic Roberts, Ziegfriedt Loots has encapsulated his working legal knowledge of human rights into the Basic Legal Guide for Kids, making children fully aware of the rights available to them in every circumstance.
An incredible must-have non-fiction book for children, for every household, and most especially in the digital age where some human rights have become complex to discern (online bullying, housing, etc.).
About the author:
Ziegfriedt Loots is a practicing lawyer. Having studied at UNISA, Loots graduated with a LLB and is currently practicing law in Somerset West, Cape Town. He is immensely interested in providing the needed legal knowledge to the public regarding both policy and practice, which drove him to develop and author the Basic Legal Guide for Kids as a starting publication for this pursuit. He envisions this first publication leading to many more along a similar vein of interest, aiding the general public in making sense of the legal rights available to them.
